Hank Korec Award Recipient
The Hank Korec award is given out annually at our Annual General Meeting to a Volunteer who is recognized as someone who is dedicated to the betterment of the Cambridge Minor Hockey Association. The recipient is thought to embody the values of Cambridge Minor Hockey as well as to have served over a number of years and demonstrated commitment in various ways.

This year's Hank Korec award recipient is Jason Pembleton.

Jason has been recognized for his contributions over many years in various roles including head coach, assistant coach, trainer, and on ice helper, but particularly this past season in his role on the CMHA executive board. Jason stepped up as the junior VP of house league to fulfil the duties of the VP of house league when she was unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. In addition to this, Jason also took the reigns halfway through the season to fill the role of Supervisor of House League coaches due to a resignation in order to ensure that everything continued to run efficiently and there were no hiccups in our programming.

Jason helped spearhead our house league goalie development program to get the wheels turning. He also played a major part in developing the new Tri City Hockey League program.

Jason is always there to lend a hand and spent countless hours of his time at the arena going above and beyond for our players, league and association. Jason's commitment and resilience helped ensure our house league season was successful and enjoyable for our young athletes and we, as an association, are fortunate to have Jason on the CMHA board.
